I purchased this external battery backup for my iPod iTouch to provide additional video viewing time on long plane trips. Viewing time on my iPod for videos is around 4.5 hours at which time the 38% power remaining message appears. The rechargeable external battery pack was more appealing to me than other low cost alternatives that use AA alkaline batteries. This unit is much more powerful and versatile at a reasonable price. An important advantage I found was that this external battery can also be used to recharge your iPod. At less than 38% power remaining on my iPod this unit took it to full charge in less than 2 hours. The LED indicator lights showed the remaining power level on the battery backup was over 60% after recharging the iPod. Charging time to full power on the battery backup took about 1-2 hours from an AC outlet. The battery can also be charged using the USB connection that is provided. A nice feature. The unit itself is small, good quality, and comes well packaged. The instructions were clear and very useful. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for an affordable solution to extend the video playtime on their iPod.

I purchased this product for my 3G iPhoneand iPod. The product design looks cool. Its performance and functionality is also excellent. When I connected this battery pack to my 8 gb 3G iPhone, it took less than 1.5 hours to fully charge up the battery. One time I brought the battery pack with me on a trip, and during the 10 hour flight I watched 3 full movies. When I arrived at the airport, I still had plenty of battery remaining (the lights showed 80% remaining in the battery pack). I found that this battery charger can also charge up my iPod video. I did a simple test, and I found that the iPod battery life was extended to three times its original capacity. This battery also showed no leakage at all. For example, I put the battery pack aside for 3 weeks, and when I plugged it in again I found that the battery pack was still completely full. This amazed me. I had purchased a 2320mAh Lenmar powerpack before this one, and found that the quality of this battery pack far exceeded the quality of the Lenmar pack, especially in terms of leakage. This is a very powerful battery pack and I have really enjoyed using it. I would like to purchase some cell phone adapters from this seller because I plan to use the battery pack to charge up my cell phone and my son's Nintendo DS game console. I highly recommend this battery pack.
